Dignity

A card's quality relative to its position, neighboring cards, and orientation (upright or reversed) in a spread.

A card in dignity expresses its full potential; out of dignity, it is weakened, blocked, or distorted.

Assessing dignity helps nuance a reading — the same card does not have the same weight everywhere.
