House X: definition

House X is the house of direction, career, vocation, social visibility and the assumed role. It marks where the person's life is publicly oriented.

It speaks of visible orientation, of the movement toward fulfilment, of the place occupied in social reality and of the relationship with success and recognition.

It is not reduced to the profession: it includes vocation in the broad sense, the work one wishes to accomplish and the public image, the role with which the person appears before the world.

House X is very often one of the central houses of a spread when a period of professional or vocational repositioning, or a decision of direction, is at play.

Its axis with House IV is revealing: it opposes visible direction and social place to roots and the intimate base, the public against the private, trajectory against foundations.

The cards that fall here qualify the relationship with fulfilment: a clear, assumed trajectory, or on the contrary doubts, pressure, disorientation or a direction still to be found.

That is why, in questions of professional direction, House X is usually one of the first to observe: it indicates whether the direction is clear and assumed or whether the person is still seeking their place and their vocation.
