Kabbalah
A Jewish esoteric tradition often mobilized in certain occultist readings of tarot.
Kabbalah does not originally belong to tarot, but several modern esoteric schools connected the arcana with the Tree of Life and other kabbalistic structures.
It is therefore important to distinguish what belongs to the history of the Tarot de Marseille from what belongs to later occultist interpretations.
