Grimaud
A French publishing house famous for the production and diffusion of card decks, notably the Tarot de Marseille in the 20th century.
The Grimaud house is one of the best-known publishers in the modern history of the Tarot de Marseille. It helped widely disseminate certain versions of the deck during the 20th century.
The so-called Tarot de Marseille Grimaud edition, associated notably with the work of Paul Marteau, deeply marked the way tarot was transmitted and perceived in the French-speaking world.
Thanks to its industrial and editorial diffusion, Grimaud played a decisive role in the contemporary popularization of the Tarot de Marseille, well beyond specialized esoteric circles.
