Symbolic Axis

A structuring relationship between several cards, positions, or houses, forming a line of meaning within the spread.

A symbolic axis can appear between two positions that answer one another, such as identity and relationship, resources and career, or desire and project.

Reading a symbolic axis means going beyond the juxtaposition of cards in order to bring out a deeper coherence within the whole spread.
